The Victron BlueSolar 90Wp monocrystalline solar panel is a robust glass panel for campers, boats and other off-grid installations. The anodized aluminum frame, tempered glass and bypass diodes make it suitable for fixed mounting in various conditions.
- 90Wp nominal power
- Monocrystalline solar cells
- Dimensions: 780 × 668 × 30 mm
- Weight: 6.1 kg
Why this Victron BlueSolar panel?▾
- Good performance in low light and sensitivity across a broad light spectrum.
- Waterproof junction box and bypass diodes to minimize power loss due to partial shading.
- Sturdy aluminum frame and tempered glass for fixed mounting.
- Integrates well with a Victron MPPT charge controller and VictronConnect.
Actual yield depends on season, solar irradiance, shading, mounting direction, and battery charge status.

What else do you need?▾
- Charge controller: Victron SmartSolar MPPT 75/10 for one panel on a 12V battery installation.
- Solar cable: 4mm², 2 × 5m with connectors.
- Battery cable and fuse: 4mm², 2 × 1m with 15A fuse, with the fuse close to the battery or plus distributor.
- Roof gland: choose a suitable roof gland for the cable route indoors.
- Cable management: use UV and weather resistant adhesive bases and cable ties.
Never connect a solar panel directly to the battery. Always use a correctly sized charge controller and protection.
Mounting on camper, boat or frame▾
Campervan: preferably use aluminum Z-brackets on a ribbed or slightly curved metal roof.
Boat: plastic corner brackets are a practical choice on a suitable flat deck.
Flat camper roof: use the Solara ABS spoiler 68 cm white. Preferably place the panel lengthwise on the vehicle, with the short sides front and back, so that the front spoiler directs the driving wind over the panel.
Measure the available space in advance and consider roof hatches, ventilation, rails, and mounting material. Carefully degrease the surface, use suitable construction sealant and primers, and seal all penetrations waterproof.
Use with a 24V battery▾
A single panel has insufficient operating voltage for a 24V battery; use multiple panels in series or a higher-voltage panel.
With a 24V system, the same MPPT can process approximately twice as much solar panel power as with 12V, but only when panel voltage, maximum open-circuit voltage, and wiring are appropriate.
Common mistakes▾
- Connecting the panel directly to the battery.
- Only paying attention to wattage and forgetting about panel voltage or Voc.
- Using a cable that is too thin or omitting a fuse.
- Combining panels with different electrical properties without verification.
- Not accounting for shade, roof obstructions, and space for mounting.
