The Victron BlueSolar 130Wp monocrystalline solar panel is a robust glass panel for campers, boats and other off-grid installations. Its anodized aluminum frame, tempered glass, and bypass diodes make it suitable for fixed mounting in various conditions.
- 130Wp nominal power
- Monocrystalline solar cells
- Dimensions: 1020 × 668 × 30 mm
- Weight: 7.1 kg
Why this Victron BlueSolar panel?▾
- Good low-light performance and sensitivity across a wide light spectrum.
- Waterproof junction box and bypass diodes to minimize power loss due to partial shading.
- Sturdy aluminum frame and tempered glass for fixed mounting.
- Integrates well with a Victron MPPT charge controller and VictronConnect.
Actual output depends on season, solar irradiance, shading, mounting direction, and battery charge status.

What do you need with it?▾
- Charge controller: Victron SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 for one panel on a 12V battery installation.
- Solar cable: 4mm², 2 × 5m with connectors.
- Battery cable and fuse: Battery cable set 6mm² 2 × 1m + 25A fuse, with the fuse close to the battery or positive busbar.
- Roof gland: choose a suitable roof gland for the cable route indoors.
- Cable management: use UV and weather-resistant stick-on cable ties and cable ties.
Never connect a solar panel directly to the battery. Always use a correctly dimensioned charge controller and protection.
Mounting on campervan, boat, or frame▾
Campervan: preferably use aluminum Z-profiles on a ribbed or slightly curved metal roof.
Boat: plastic corner mounts are a practical choice on a suitable flat deck.
Flat camper roof: use the Solara ABS spoiler 68 cm white. Preferably position the panel lengthwise on the vehicle, with the short sides front and back, so that the front spoiler guides the airflow over the panel.
Measure the available space beforehand and consider roof hatches, ventilation, rails, and mounting material. Degrease the surface carefully, use suitable construction sealant and primers, and seal all penetrations watertight.
Use with a 24V battery▾
A single panel has insufficient operating voltage for a 24V battery; use multiple panels in series.
With a 24V system, the same MPPT can handle approximately twice as much solar panel power as with 12V, but only when panel voltage, maximum open-circuit voltage, and wiring are appropriate.
Common mistakes▾
- Connecting the panel directly to the battery.
- Only considering wattage and forgetting panel voltage or Voc.
- Using a cable that is too thin or omitting a fuse.
- Combining panels with different electrical characteristics without verification.
- Not accounting for shade, roof obstacles, and mounting space.
