This panel switch can be used for switching on and off lighting, equipment, and other electrical loads that fall within the specified AC specifications.

This switch only states an electrical load for alternating current (AC). The specified values of 15 A and 20 A should therefore not be automatically applied to a 12V or 24V DC installation.

With direct current, it is more difficult to interrupt the electric arc between the switch contacts. This means that the permissible DC load may be lower than the stated AC load.

For larger DC loads, such as a compressor refrigerator, heavy lighting, or other equipment with a high inrush current, it is preferable to use this switch only as a control contact for a suitable 12V or 24V relay.

The switch has four spade terminals. Internally, two separate contacts are opened or closed simultaneously.

• Use well-fitting spade connectors.
• Ensure that the terminals are firmly attached to the connections.
• Match the cable cross-section to the connected load.
• Install a correctly dimensioned fuse in the power cable.
• Mount the switch in a suitable panel cutout.
• Avoid mechanical stress on the connections and wiring.
