The Xenteq PurePowerSwitch 12V 2000W (PPS 2000-212) is a pure sine wave inverter with a built-in bypass / transfer relay. This allows it to automatically switch between mains power (shore power) and the inverter, so your 230V appliances can remain connected without a separate transfer box.

12 V 2000 W continuous 4000 W peak Pure sine wave Bypass (auto switching) App (PurePower)
What can you use it for?
  • 230V available in your camper without fixed shore power: laptop, chargers, cameras, small appliances.
  • Use e-bike chargers or tool chargers (pay attention to the total power).
  • Kitchen appliances up to approx. 2000W (situation-dependent), as long as your battery pack and cabling can handle it.
  • Leave everything connected and automatically switch between shore power and battery inverter.

Heating appliances (kettle, hairdryer, air fryer) often require a lot of power. Are you unsure if 2000W is suitable for your use and battery? Send us your appliances (Watt) and battery data, and we will help you choose quickly.

Unique: bypass function + adjustable priority

The PurePowerSwitch has an internal transfer relay (bypass). As soon as shore power is available, the 230V output can automatically switch to mains voltage. This means you don't need to install a separate transfer box.

Choose priority (2 settings)

  • MAINS priority: shore power takes precedence as soon as it is available (useful for saving your battery).
  • INV priority: inverter/battery takes precedence; it only switches to shore power when the set undervoltage is reached (useful with a lot of solar energy).

Switching times depend on the priority setting. The datasheet mentions transfer times in the order of milliseconds.

Practical situations

  • Campers & mobile workshops: equipment remains connected, automatically switching between shore power and inverter.
  • Backup systems: quick takeover when mains voltage fails.
  • Solar-focused use: primarily on battery/solar energy, then mains voltage.
PurePower app & control (real-time + settings)
  • Real-time readout via the PurePower app.
  • Stand-by mode (useful if you temporarily don't need 230V).
  • Adjustable parameters, such as undervoltage monitoring and a restart timer (charge first, then switch on again).

Want extra operating convenience? This inverter can be extended with a remote control: PPR-1 or PPR-3.

The datasheet mentions app support and compatible remote controls. (Hardware V1.01 / Software V1.06)

Installation & safety (important in 12V systems)
  • Battery connection: 2× M6 bolts on the inverter (for this 2000W model).
  • Included battery cables: 80 cm, 25 mm² with cable lugs.
  • Secure the battery cable with a suitable external fuse (as close to the battery as possible). Make sure you can de-energize the inverter for maintenance (via the fuse, a DC circuit breaker, or the main switch of your system).
  • Keep cables short and securely fastened: at high loads, currents in 12V systems increase rapidly.
  • Ventilation: the inverter has active cooling (fan). Place it freely and not in a sealed warm space.

  • No-load (on): approx. 1.2 A to approx. 1.9 A (depending on mains voltage/conditions)
  • No-load (stand-by): approx. 0.08 A
  • No-load (sleep mode): approx. 0.1–0.2 A
  • Bypass / transfer times (indicative):
    • Priority "MAINS": mains → inverter 40–65 ms, inverter → mains 10–20 ms
    • Priority "INV": mains → inverter 2–10 ms, inverter → mains 45–75 ms

No-load values are measured at 12.6 V and may vary due to battery voltage, battery quality, and temperature. When there is no mains power, the no-load current may be higher.

Why via Faraday Energy?
  • Help with the right choice: prevent "too small" or "unnecessarily large".
  • Practical installation advice (fusing, cables, placement, 230V distribution).
  • Fast support for questions about bypass/priority and app settings.
  • One point of contact for delivery and service.
Need advice? (quick check)

Send us these 3 things, and you'll quickly receive tailored advice:

  • Battery: type (AGM/LiFePO₄), capacity (Ah), and 12V system
  • Which 230V appliances you want to use (with Wattage)
  • Inverter ↔ battery distance (approximate)

Tip: combine this inverter with the correct fuse holder, main switch, and cable set. Then it's not just "working," but also safe and trouble-free.
