Welcome to the manual for the PWM LandStar 30/5 (LS0512EU) and LandStar 30/10 (LS1012EU) solar charge controller from HUIZHOU EPEVER TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. This manual contains all the information you need for the installation and operation of your charge controller. Please read this manual carefully before proceeding.
1. Safety Information
- Read all instructions in the manual before installation.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the charge controller.
- Install an external fast-acting fuse or circuit breaker if necessary.
- Disconnect the solar panel and the fast-acting fuses/circuit breakers at the battery before installing or moving the charge controller.
- Ensure that power connections are tight to prevent overheating due to loose connections.
- Only charge batteries that comply with the charge controller's parameters.
- The battery connection can be a single battery or a battery bank.
- Risk of electric shock! The solar panel and load can produce high voltages when the charge controller is operating.
2. Overview
The LandStar E/EU series charge controller is a PWM charge controller that applies the most advanced digital technology. It is a user-friendly and cost-effective controller with the following features:
- 3-stage intelligent PWM charging: Bulk, Boost/Equalize, and Float
- Supports 3 charging options: Sealed, Gel, and Flooded
- LED indicator for battery status: Indicates the battery situation
- Battery temperature compensation function
- User-friendly settings: Convenient and easy to use
- USB output (LS EU series only): For charging electronic devices
- Adjustable battery type and load output via the button

4. Wiring
Connect the system in the sequence of 1) battery, 2) loads, 3) solar panel according to Figure 2-2, "Wiring schematic diagram," and disconnect the system in the reverse order.

Note:
- Do not connect the circuit breaker or fast-acting fuse during charge controller wiring.
- Ensure that the "+" and "-" poles are connected correctly.
- Install a fast-acting fuse with a current rating of 1.25 to 2 times the nominal current of the charge controller, at a distance of no more than 150 mm from the battery.
Warning: The charge controller does not have reverse connection protection for the solar panel; please connect it correctly.

Note:
- The above voltage values are measured in the 12V system at 25℃; please double the values in the 24V system.
- "○" indicates the LED indicator is ON; "×" indicates the LED indicator is OFF.
6. Operation
1) Load ON/OFF Setting
Press the button to control the load output when the charge controller is powered on.
2) Battery Type Setting
- Press and hold the button for 5 seconds to enter the setting mode until the battery status LEDs flash.
- Select the desired mode by pressing the button.
- The mode will be automatically saved after 5 seconds of no operation, and the LED will stop flashing.
7. Protection
- Battery overvoltage protection: Stops charging when overvoltage occurs.
- Battery over-discharge protection: Stops discharging when undervoltage occurs.
- Overload protection: Disconnects the load in case of overload.
- Short circuit protection: Disconnects the load in case of short circuit.
- High voltage surge protection: Protection against small voltage surges.
8. Troubleshooting
- No charge indication: Check the connection of the solar panel and the battery.
- No LED indicator: Check if the battery voltage is higher than 8V.
- Fast flashing charge LED: Check the battery voltage for overvoltage.
- Fast flashing LED1: Battery over-discharged.
- Slow flashing charge LED: Reduce the number of electrical appliances.
- Fast flashing charge LED: Check the load for short circuit.
