Fully self-sufficient travel through Europe (truck and trailer combination)

Antoine and his family wanted to travel through Europe for a year – completely self-sufficient, with all the comforts of home: air conditioning, washing machine, dryer, and even a coffee machine.

For this ambitious project, we built a powerful energy system with twelve 150 Wp solar panels (7.2 kWh per day) and a 24 V battery bank of four 12.8 V / 150 Ah lithium batteries.

The Victron EasySolar unit provides charging, inversion, and MPPT regulation in one compact solution. While driving, the Orion Charger recharges via the alternator, and a Battery Balancer keeps the batteries perfectly balanced.
